Dorms & classrooms

In the dorms, there are 240 students who sleep. The dorms are open 5 days per week but the sports students can stay the week-end and some people can stay also in exceptional cases. For the students who sleep there, at 7.30 a.m maximum they must eat and the dorms close for the day at that moment. The dorms open for students who sleep there at 6.00 p.m. At 7.00 p.m they can go eat dinner. The lights are switched off at 10.00 p.m and the students must sleep, normally. The building C is for the boys and the building D is for the girls but there are more boys than girls. Also the buildings C and D are used for classroom. The dorms are at the top of these buildings. The recents polls show that the students learn and do homework better because they are forced to do this. It’s their life…

There are lots of buildings where there are classrooms. Building A is the biggest and there are lots of subjects which are studied here. There are science labs, computer rooms, and basics classrooms. In the building D there are especially classrooms for French lesson. In buildings B and C it’s for the vocational degrees. There is a very big building for workshops. There a special place to training for firemen.

The Condorcet High school

The Condorcet high school is a big school. There are about 1700 students and 144 teachers. There are two sides in this high school: on the one hand, vocational and on the other hand, general and technological. Since this year there has been a new section, the European section. Moreover, since two years, there has been an international section. It’s a sporty high school because there is a training center where we can practice handball, football and basketball. It’s also a scientific high school and there are higher national diplomas.

There are many activities to entertain the students such as the foosball and a room to play music in the students’ common room, a room to practice sports during the breakfast, a Comenius club where we can create a blog about our region for foreign schools and finally we can look at shows.

There are four buildings where the students study, the boarding school which can accommodate 164 students, the self-service dining hall, two gymnasiums, the administration, the parking lot and the staffroom.
